Designed and built for seniors (Head of Household, Co-head of Household, or Spouse must be 62-years of age or older). The Highlands complex is a wellness oriented and service enriched community to allow for aging in place. The complex contains 136 one and two bedroom units on four floors. Amenities include washers and dryers on each floor, two elevators, several fitness rooms, TV lounges, meeting rooms, game rooms, craft room, library, outdoor patios, walking path and more. Phase 1 opened in 2017 and Phase 2 followed in 2019.

Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC)

Since this property has received funding in part through the Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program, a certain number of units are set aside for lower income households. Households must earn either less than 50% or 60% of the area median income (depending on the set-aside option chosen by the property owner) to qualify for these units. Rents in these units are capped at a maximum of 30% of the set-aside area median income (adjusted for unit size).
