Esperanza Apartments is an 84-unit building with one bedrooms only. They are a 55 and older adult community located in a serene area of Seattle away from traffic and congestion, yet convenient to shopping, churches, and medical facilities. Residents must be 55 years of age or older. Some apartments are specially equipped for mobility impaired persons. This community serves residents who earn less than 60 percent of the area median gross income. Income limits are determined by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Beautiful, affordable, one bedroom and one bath apartments with utilities (except phone and cable) are included in the rent. Section 8 Vouchers Welcomed. For more info, please call the office. Since this property has received funding in part through the Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program, a certain number of units are set aside for lower income households. Households must earn either less than 50% or 60% of the area median income (depending on the set-aside option chosen by the property owner) to qualify for these units. Rents in these units are capped at a maximum of 30% of the set-aside area median income (adjusted for unit size).
