Located at 165 Cornell Street in Kingston, the Lace Mill is an anchor of the Ulster County arts community. The $19 Million creative-placemaking space seeks to inspire residents to live, work, and create in a transformative space. Built in 1903, the US Lace Curtain Mill erected the three-story brick mason building to cater to fashion and home decoration lovers, employing hundreds of Kingstonians – particularly women – over several generations. For the better part of 30 years, the 53,000 square foot building remained a boarded-up storage warehouse until RUPCO purchased it in late 2013.
