Open: Multiple Properties, Family Section 8 Project-Based Voucher

The Rural Ulster Preservation Company (RUPCO) is accepting Section 8 Project Based Voucher waiting list applications for Multiple Properties from the earliest confirmed open date of June 5, 2024, until further notice. 

This waiting list is for the following properties:

  • Blair Rd. Apartments - located at 17 Blair Rd, Kerhonkson, NY. 2-Bedroom units.
  • The Lace Mill - located at 165 Cornell St. Kingston, NY. Studio, 1, 2 and 3-Bedroom units. (Artist Preference)
  • Woodstock Commons - located at Leslie's Way, Woodstock, NY. 1, 2 and 3-Bedroom units.
  • Energy Square - located at 20 Cedar St, Kingston, NY. Studio, 1, 2, and 3-Bedroom units.
  • Hasbrouck Apartments - located at 434-438 Hasbrouck Ave & 33 Prince St, Kingston , NY, 2, 3 and 4-Bedroom units.

Please note: According to the RUPCO Application "The Lace Mill - Preference for all 55 units at the Lace Mill will be given to artists from diverse artistic and cultural backgrounds. Only one adult household member, 18 or older, needs to demonstrate a commitment as a practicing artist, in order to qualify for the artist preference."

Selected applicants will be placed on the waiting list by date and time the application is received, by order of preferences.

There are two ways to apply while the waiting list is open:

  1. Print the paper application.
  2. Pick up an application from the RUPCO’s office, located at 289 Fair Street, Kingston, NY 12401.

Once the application has been completed, it must be either:

  1. Dropped off at the RUPCO office mailbox, address mentioned above
  2. Mailed to the RUPCO office, address mentioned above.

After one year of occupancy, a Project-Based Voucher tenant may request to be placed on a waiting list to receive the next available Housing Choice Voucher or similar tenant-based rental assistance.

This waiting list is for the following properties:

  • Golden View - located at 52 Domenica Lane, Highland, NY. 1-Bedroom units.
  • Landmark Place - located at 30 Flatbrush Ave, Kingston, NY. Studio and 1-Bedroom units.
  • The Mews at Prattsville - located at 5456 Washington St, Prattsville, NY. 1 and 2-Bedroom units.
  • Woodstock Commons - located at Alder Court, Woodstock, NY. 1-Bedroom units.

Please note: "55+ age requirement"

  • Park Heights - located at 1033 Rt. 32, Rosendale, NY. 1-Bedroom units.
  • The Stuyvesant - (Preference for homeless and 62+ age/disability requirement). 1-Bedroom units.
  • Tongore Pines - Located at 21-25 Fox Lane, Olivebridge, NY. 1-Bedroom units.

Please note: "62+ age requirement"

The Stuyvesant Apartments have a preference for homeless and 62+ age/disability.

The Rural Ulster Preservation Company (RUPCO) is accepting Senior Section 8 Project Based Voucher waiting list applications for 1-Bedroom Apartments at Milton Harvest from June 17, 2024, until further notice.

This waiting list is for the following property:

  • Milton Harvest - located at 48 Josies Path in Milton, NY. Offering 1-bedroom units for seniors 62+ and older.

Income Qualification

The maximum income limits for each household size are as follows:

  • 1 Person $39,100 | 2 Persons $44,700

RUPCO serves Greene County and Ulster County on behalf of New York State Homes and Community Renewal.

Closed: Greene County, New York Section 8 Voucher

The Rural Ulster Preservation Company (RUPCO) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list for Greene County is currently closed. Applications were last accepted from October 15, 2019, until November 15, 2019. There is no notice of when this waiting list will reopen.

There were two ways to apply during the opening period:

  1. Download and print the application online.
  2. Pick up an application in person from one of two locations. 

Once the application was completed, it must have been hand-delivered or mailed to RUPCO.

Preferences have not yet been confirmed.

Selected applicants were placed on the waiting list by random lottery.

Closed: Ulster County, New York Section 8 Voucher

The Rural Ulster Preservation Company (RUPCO) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is closed.

The RUPCO last accepted Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher applications for this waiting list from October 15, 2021, until November 30, 2021. There is no notice of when this waiting list will reopen.

To apply during the opening period, applicants were required to print the paper application.

The maximum income limits for each household size were as follows:

  • 1 Person $30,750 | 5 Persons $47,450
  • 2 Persons $35,150 | 6 Persons $50,950
  • 3 Persons $39,550 | 7 Persons $54,450
  • 4 Persons $43,900 | 8 Persons $57,950

Once the application was completed, it was either:

  1. Dropped off at the RUPCO office.
  2. Mailed to the RUPCO.

This waiting list had the following preferences:

  • Homeless
  • Disabled
  • Elderly

2,000 applicants were placed on the waiting list by random lottery, weighed by order of preferences.

Once the application was completed, it was either:
