Located within walking distance to the new Helen Hunt Medical Center, these one-bedroom apartments with all utilities included, offer quiet, comfortable and secure living in a smoke-free environment. Special features of this building include a large Community Room, a sitting room off the foyer, plenty of storage, laundry, wall-to-wall carpeting, 24-hour maintenance and free transportation to the grocery store and other shopping. An emergency response system is located in each bedroom and bathroom. An Activities and Services Referral Coordinator is available to provide social activities and to assist residents in dealing with a variety of situations. Marsh Island Apartments also offers a Congregate Housing Services Program. This unique program offers supportive services to help residents maintain their independence. Fees for services are based on income. Services include two meals a day, light house cleaning, help with the laundry, shopping and errands. Assistance is also provided for referrals to outside nursing and home health care services.
