San Veron Park was MidPen Housing's first affordable housing community. Completed in 1971, San Veron Park is an attractive, low-density townhouse-style development with private balconies and extensive lawn areas, a recreation room, laundry facilities, plus two play areas for children. San Veron Park is next door to a park and adjoins a neighborhood of single-family homes. San Veron was presented with the 1971 City of Mountain View Mayor's Award for creating an outstanding residential environment through the use of color, materials and form, demonstrating MidPen's commitment to creating communities that are congruent with their surrounding neighborhoods.

Since this property has a Project-Based Section 8 contract with HUD, some or all of the rents at this community are based on tenant incomes. Tenants leasing units participating in the Section 8 Project-Based Rental Assistance program typically contribute less than 30% of their adjusted income towards rental costs.
Apartment communities that participate in the Section 236 program are required to ensure that their units are only available to families with incomes at or below 80% of the area median income. Rents at participating communities must be approved by HUD.
