Open: Maine Housing Choice Voucher Centralized

This housing authority participates in the Maine Centralized Section 8 HCV Waiting List, which is a partnership between all 20 housing authorities in Maine. Applicants submit one application to apply to a centralized waiting list. Selected applicants will be placed on the centralized waiting list, and will be under consideration for every participating housing authority.

The Maine Centralized Section 8 HCV Waiting List is currently open.

The Maine Centralized waiting list will accept applications from April 2013, until further notice.

There are four ways to apply:

  1. Complete the online application available here.
  2. Download and print the application online.
  3. Contact one of the participating housing authorities to request an application by mail. Contact information for all participating housing authorities can be found here.
  4. Pick up a pre-application at the office of a participating housing authority. Address information for all participating housing authorities can be found here.

Once the application has been completed, it can be mailed, faxed or submitted in person to any participating housing authority. Contact information for all participating housing authorities can be viewed here.

The waiting list will be sorted differently by each housing authority according to its own preferences.

Participating housing authorities may have any of the following preferences: Disabled, elderly, family with minor children or dependents, where you live, veteran, displaced by natural or national disaster, chronically homeless, at where you work, non-subsidized, local full-time student, working, non-elderly or disabled single person family, Tedford Shelter resident. Open: Stroudwater and Stacy M. Symbol Apartments, Low Income Housing Tax Credit Senior

The Westbrook Housing Authority (WHA) is accepting Senior 55+ waiting list applications for 1-bedroom apartments at Stroudwater and Stacy M. Symbol apartments on October 12, 2023, until further notice.

This waiting list is for the following properties:

  • Stroudwater Apartments - 160 Stroudwater St, Westbrook, MN.
  • Stacy M. Symbol Apartments - 68 Nicklaus Lane, Westbrook, MN.

Preferences have not yet been confirmed.

It is not yet known how selected applicants will be placed on the waiting list.

There are three ways to apply while the waitlist is open:

  1. Print the paper application.
  2. Pick up an applications from the WHA office, located at 30 Liza Harmon Drive, Westbrook, ME 04092.
  3. Call the WHA at (207) 854-9779 to request an application be mailed.

Once the paper application has been completed, it must be either:

  1. Mailed to the WHA office, address mentioned above.
  2. Hand delivered to the WHA office, address mentioned above.

The Westbrook Housing Authority (WHA) is accepting Low Income Housing Tax Credit waiting list applications for Multiple Properties from the earliest confirmed open date of May 1, 2024, until further notice.

This waiting list is for the following properties:

  • Dr. Arthur O. Berry Apartments at Larrabee Commons -located on Liza Harmon Drive, Westbrook, Maine. Offering 1-Bedroom units for Elderly 55+ and older.
  • Lewis H. Emery Apartments - located at 67 Ruth Hunton Court, Westbrook, Maine. Offering 1-Bedroom untis for 55+ and older.
  • Malcolm A. Noyes Apartments - located at 290 East Bridge Street, Westbrook, Maine. Offering 1-Bedroom units.
  • Millbrook Estates - located at 300 East Bridge Street, Westbrook, Maine.
  • Presumpscot Commons - located at 765 Main Street, Westbrook, Maine. Offering 1 and 2-Bedroom units. 
  • Spring Crossing - located at 19 Ash Street, Westbrook, Maine. Offering 1 and 2-Bedroom units.

The Westbrook Housing Authority (WHA) is accepting Project Based waiting list applications for Multiple Properties from the earliest confirmed open date of May 1, 2024, until further notice.

This waiting list is for the following properties:

  • Dr. Arthur O. Berry Apartments at Larrabee Commons -located 27 Liza Harmon Dr., Westbrook ME 04092. Must be 55 or older to be eligible. 38 one-bedroom units, 18 are subsidized.
  • Larrabee Village  - located at 30 Liza Harmon Dr., Westbrook ME 04092. Must be 62 or older to be eligible. 150 small handicap accessible one-bedroom subsidized units. 
  • Larrabee Woods - located at – 9 Dottie’s Way, Westbrook ME 04092. Must be 62 or older or declared
    disabled to be eligible. 25 one and two-bedroom units.  
  • Lewis H Emery Apartments - located at - 67 Ruth Hunton Ct., Westbrook ME 04092. Must be 55 or older to be
    eligible. 30 one-bedroom units, 20 are subsidized. 
  • Riverview Terrace - located at 21 Knight St, Westbrook ME 04092. Must be 62 or older or declared disabled
    to be eligible. 58 efficiency and one-bedroom units.  
  • Robert L. Harnois -located at 70 Ruth Hunton Ct., Westbrook ME 04092. Must be 62 or older to
    be eligible. 61 one-bedroom subsidized units. 

This waiting list has the following preferences: Live or work in Westbrook.

Larrabee Woods and Riverview Terrace have the additional following preference: Homeless – Applicants who are homeless.
