Linden Plaza Linden Plaza is a newly renovated, well maintained and affordable development comprised of five high-rise apartment buildings and 32 townhouses spread over 633,530 square feet in the borough of Brooklyn, NY. The complex is bordered by Sutter Avenue to the North, Linden Boulevard to the South, Lincoln Avenue to the West, and Eldert Lane to the East. It was built in 1971 and underwent a $50 million renovation in 2008 that included both the common areas as well as the apartments’ interiors.

Many units feature balconies, and there are plenty of green areas where residents can enjoy long walks within the complex, as well as a modern playground for the enjoyment of families with young children. The development also offers both indoor and outdoor parking facilities for the exclusive use of residents, at a small fee. The complex is protected by a 24-hour, seven-days-a-week security company and also houses a state-of- the- art surveillance system.

A vast network of subway and bus lines connects nearly all sections of the borough with each other and with the rest of New York City. Brooklyn is home to the New York Aquarium, Coney Island Amusement Park and Boardwalk, the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens, the Brooklyn Museum, Prospect Park, and much, much more. It also houses some of the city’s best ethnic restaurants, featuring an endless variety ranging from Greek specialties to Middle Eastern and Asian delicacies, to some seriously incredible Italian eateries claiming to have the best pizza in the world!

Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC)

Since this property has received funding in part through the Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program, a certain number of units are set aside for lower income households. Households must earn either less than 50% or 60% of the area median income (depending on the set-aside option chosen by the property owner) to qualify for these units. Rents in these units are capped at a maximum of 30% of the set-aside area median income (adjusted for unit size). Some rental units in this property may not be subject to LIHTC and therefore have higher rents and no maximum household income requirement.
