Woodcraft Square is located in Monroe, MI and consists of 208 HUD - subsidized apartments. We offer quality, affordable housing for elderly, disabled and family households. Our main building consists of 120 one and two bedroom units designated for seniors and disabled residents. Waitlist preference is given to applicants with elderly household members. The 88 family units include 78 two and three bedroom townhouses and 10 two bedroom garden flats. Applicants must be income eligible based on the very low and extremely low income limits established by HUD under the Section 8 program. Our historic main building, formerly the Weis Complex/La-Z-Boy Factory, houses our senior households and features interesting architectural details. These spacious apartments feature high ceilings, original wood beams and exposed brick while our modern townhouse units feature central A/C, front porches, individual entry and private patios.
