Developed by the visionary developer Robert Kuehn in collaboration with the non-profit Fort Point Cultural Coalition (FPCC), Midway Studios is located in the Channel Center complex off of A Street in the Fort Point neighborhood. Fort Point is home to the oldest and largest artist community in New England. Midway is comprised of 89 artists live/work studios and ground floor commercial spaces now leased to arts-related groups and The Club by George Foreman III, a boxing-themed fitness center.
The residents of Midway Artist Studios and New Atlantic development purchased Midway Studios in 2014 to secure the Midway Artists Building's mission as an affordable rental live/work building, and a place for artists of all ages and at all levels of accomplishment to explore and share ideas.
Midway Artist Studios comprises approximately 200,000 square feet in three contiguous renovated warehouse buildings located at 15 Channel Center Street (formerly Midway Street). Midway Artist Studios is home to 89 artist live / work lofts, as well as, commercial offices, a café and a performing arts center.
The loft apartments range in size from 914 to 1,350 square feet, and offer a variety of floor plans, including duplex lofts. All of the loft homes have fully applianced kitchens and baths, and feature individually controlled heating and air conditioning. The community features on-site management and 24 hour emergency maintenance.
