Message Mass Pike Towers

Mass Pike Towers is managed by Trinity Management.

New Mass Pike Towers sits on the edge of Chinatown within walking distance of many fine restaurants, shops, medical centers, arts and entertainments. The jewels of Boston are all nearby: the Theater District, the South End, Park Square, the Boston Common, the Boston Public Garden, the Prudential Center, Copley Square, Downtown Crossing and Newbury Street. The site’s two towers stand tall in the busy area, while the four mid-rise buildings nestle into the scene.

In total, the six buildings comprise more than 200,000 square feet of space and 200 units of housing. There are 42 one-bedroom apartments, 142 two-bedroom apartments, and 16 three-bedroom apartments. The property includes a playground for the children and an outdoor parking center for 98 vehicles. In 2015, Trinity Financial created a memorial garden in memory of  longtime Property Manager Fannie Kwan.

Trinity Financial bought the property in 2000 and placed deed restrictions on 190 units that guarantee they will remain affordable until 2070. Geared for people earning no more than 60 percent of area median income, there are also 40 units for the very low-income population. These include 22 one-bedroom apartments, 14 two-bedroom apartments, and 4 three-bedroom apartments.

Renovations included new kitchens, hot water and heating systems, ventilation, windows, roofs, landscaping and a redesign of the lobby. In addition, space was created for the residents’ association on the first floor, where 13 commercial spaces are also housed. There is a Day Care Center on site and many others in the vicinity.

The Josiah Quincy School – Upper & Lower Schools, Tufts Medical Center and the Wang YMCA are right around the corner.

The site was re-developed by Trinity and the South Cove Nursing Facilities Foundation, Inc., with input from the Chinese Progressive Association, the Chinatown Resident Association, and the Mass Pike Towers Resident Association.
