Commonwealth Elderly is managed by Boston Housing Authority.
The Commonwealth Development in Brighton was completely renovated in the 1980s and offers a variety of living arrangements for low- and moderate-income families, as well as 116 one and two- bedroom apartments that provide housing specifically for elderly and disabled residents. Many apartments have a view of the city skyline. Our units range from being fully equipped to modified to handicapped accessible. Rents are calculated at 30% of a resident’s income.
