Charlestown is the BHA's largest housing community for low- and moderate-income individuals and families. We are located in historic Charlestown, near the waterfront. Since 1992, the complex has undergone major renovations. The grounds have been professionally landscaped and offer residents a pleasant living environment. Charlestown offers 1100 one, two, three, four and five- bedroom units. Rents are calculated at 30% of a resident’s income. Residents have the option of choosing a flat rent as well.

Eligibility for Charlestown

Generally, households earning up to the income limit in the table below for their household size are eligible for units participating in a HUD rental assistance program in Boston but actual income limits may differ for units at Charlestown.
