Kaiāulu o Kupuohi is an affordable LEED for Homes mid-rise 89 unit community will consist of 20 one bedroom units, 34 two bedroom units and 35 three bedroom units. Available to families with incomes at 60% or less of the average median income of the County of Maui. Units will have energy star appliances, LED energy star lighting, hard surface flooring, solar water heating, air conditioning, water wise plumbing fixtures and ceiling fans throughout. On-site amenities will include a community center with services and on-site management, tot lot, BBQ-picnic area, laundry facilities and ample on-site parking.

Since this property has received funding in part through the Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program, a certain number of units are set aside for lower income households. Households must earn either less than 50% or 60% of the area median income (depending on the set-aside option chosen by the property owner) to qualify for these units. Rents in these units are capped at a maximum of 30% of the set-aside area median income (adjusted for unit size).
