Built in 1983 Driftwood Terrace offers 90-1 bedroom units for those 62 and older and features a community library as well as laundry facilities. In addition a large community room is open for residents to enjoy cards, games, parties and occasional rummage sales. The building is also conveniently located close to public transportation which includes local community transportation service as well as local bus routes. This facility also houses the administration office for Hollywood Housing Authority and the Housing Choice Voucher Program Department. The Housing Choice Voucher Program aims to help families in the low-income category locate affordable housing in the private market. Funded by the Department of Housing & Urban Development the Housing Choice Voucher Program is set up to financially assist families with a monetary portion of their monthly rent.
