Hoffman Gardens is a two-hundred (200) unit family property, comprised of twelve (12) efficiencies, thirty-two (32) one bedroom, seventy-two (72) two bedroom, sixty-six three bedroom, fourteen (14) four bedroom and four (4) five bedroom units. Hoffman Gardens was named in honor of Dr. Charles Hoffman, who was appointed by the Mayor of the City of Hialeah as the first Chairman of the Board of Commissioners on February 14, 1967. Thereafter Dr. Charles Hoffman served three consecutive four year terms. The construction of Hoffman Gardens was completed in October 1971.
Generally, households earning up to the income limit in the table below for their household size are eligible for units participating in a HUD rental assistance program in Hialeah but actual income limits may differ for units at Hoffman Gardens.

Since this property is owned and managed by a Public Housing Authority, all of the rents at this property are based on tenant incomes. Tenants will make a monthly contribution toward rent equal to 30% of their adjusted income. A housing authority may establish a minimum rent of up to $50.
