The design and site plan of Almond Court is similar to the adjacent Almond Terrace completed in 2004. Almond Court has six buildings arranged around two courtyards. A central community building houses a multi-purpose room and lounge, laundry facilities, and the management office. A central pedestrian walkway connects the two adjacent senior developments, allowing a sharing of resources and amenities.

The outdoor space includes gardens, comfortable landscaped seating areas, and a bocce ball court. The central space opens toward Almond Terrace to afford views between the developments for residents of both properties. A community garden with raised vegetable planting areas is located on the northeast side of this property.

Each apartment is approximately 580 square feet with one bedroom, one bathroom, living room, kitchen and dining area, and a private porch.

On site supportive services staff will assist residents one-on-one and in groups to create supportive programming which encourages community building and self-reliance. These programs include information and referral to health services, educational presentations and social activities.

Almond Court is located within two miles to the City's senior center, City Hall, a library, and police department. A local transit bus route stops right in front of the building. It is also conveniently located near shopping, restaurants, public transit and a pharmacy.

Section 202 Supportive Housing for the Elderly
