The Veranda will be a 19-unit affordable senior citizen housing development, on a vacant .56 acre site, located at 19160 Stevens Creek Blvd. in Cupertino. The property’s intended residents will be seniors aged 62 or older. The Veranda is located directly across the street from Cupertino’s new Main Street Cupertino, with retail stores and restaurants.

The apartments will be studio units that are approximately 350 square feet located in a three story building. All floors of the building will be serviced by an elevator. Each studio apartment will have a complete kitchen and ​ADA accessible bathroom​. ​ ​The sustainable, green building features ​will ​includ​e​ Energy Star appliances, low flow plumbing fixtures, and energy efficient lighting. All of the apartments on the 2nd and 3rd levels will have a private balcony and all of the ground floor units will have a ground floor patio. There will be a common laundry room, ​staff office, ​a public restroom and community lounge​. Additionally, there will be shared open space, with drought tolerant landscaping, for all residents and their guests to use which will include 3 separate patios on the east side of the building devoted to different types of activities; gardening, reading or dining and a citrus garden with fruit trees. There will be parking on site for the residents​, staff and visitors​.
