The Kenosha Housing Authority (KHA) will accept Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications will be accepted for one day only on July 24, 2024 from 9:00 am until 9:00 pm CT. This is the first time the waiting list has been open since it closed in August, 2022.

Income Qualification

The maximum income limits for each household size are as follows:

  • 1 Person $34,250 | 5 Persons $52,850
  • 2 Persons $39,150 | 6 Persons $56,750
  • 3 Persons $44,050 | 7 Person $60,650
  • 4 Persons $48,900 | 8 Persons $64,550

Preferences

This waiting list has the following preferences:

  • Applicants that live, work or attend school in Kenosha County.
  • Disabled, elderly, or who have minor children in the household.

Selection Process

1,500 to 2,000 applicants will be placed on the waiting list by random lottery, by order of preferences.
