The Housing Authority of the City of Romney (HACR) is currently accepting Public Housing waiting list applications for families and senior/disabled individuals.The HACR offers one Public Housing community with 60 units for families and senior/disabled individuals.To apply, visit the HACR to pick up an application, located at 100 Valley View Dr., Romney, WV 26757, from 8:00 am until 4:00 pm, Monday-Friday.Once the application has been completed, it must be hand delivered to the address listed above from 9:00 am until 3:00 pm, Monday-Friday.Be sure to include these documents with your application: birth certificates, Social Security cards, proof of income, and photo IDs for all adult household members.The HACR does have a preference for applicants that are employed for at least six months, or applicants that have previously resided in a HACR property.For more information, the HACR can be reached by calling (304) 822-5296 from 8:00 am until 4:00 pm, Monday-Friday.
