Open: Virgin Islands Section 8 Voucher

The Virgin Islands Housing Authority (VIHA) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is currently open. This waiting list opened on October 3, 2016 at 9:00 am AT, and is open indefinitely. It was last open in July 2012.

There are four ways to apply:

  1. Pick up an application at the St. Thomas/St. John Central Office, located at 4402 Anna's Retreat, #200, St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands 00802-1737.
  2. Pick up an application at the St. Croix Central Office, located at RR 2 Box 9299, Kingshill, St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands 00851-9719.
  3. Download and print the application online.
  4. Call (340) 714-0174 or (340) 778-8442.

Once the application has been completed, it must be mailed or hand delivered to the VIHA. Addresses can be found on Page 2 of the application.

This waiting list has the following preferences: Displaced by natural disaster or government action, displaced by domestic violence, employed, enrolled in job training program, enrolled in education program full-time.

Reasonable Accommodation
