Open: Rutland, Vermont Section 8 Voucher

The Rutland Housing Authority (RHA) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is currently open, since at least July, 2017, until further notice.

To apply, download and print the application online here. Select the "Download a Section 8 Program Application" link.

Once the application is completed, it must be mailed or hand delivered to Rutland Housing Authority, 5 Tremont Street, Rutland, VT 05701.

Copies of the following additional documents are required for all members of the household: Birth certificate, Social Security card.

This waiting list has the following preferences: Lived in the state of Vermont for at least one year; work or have been notified of hiring in the state of Vermont; head of household or spouse is currently employed, 62 years old or older, or disabled; victim of domestic violence; displaced due to natural disaster; med-waiver applicant.

Open: Rutland Housing Authority Public Housing

The Rutland Housing Authority (RHA) Public Housing waiting list is currently open, since at least May, 2015, until further notice. Waiting lists for a specific community or bedroom size may be closed.

There are three ways to apply:

  1. Download and print the application online here. Select the "Download a Public Housing Application" link.
  2. Request an application by mail by calling (802) 775-2926, Monday-Friday, from 8:00 am until 5:00 pm ET.
  3. Pick up an application at the RHA office, located at 2 Tremont St, Rutland, VT 05701, Monday-Friday between the hours of 8am and 5pm.

Once the application is completed, it must be mailed or hand delivered to Rutland Housing Authority, 5 Tremont Street, Rutland, VT 05701.
