Open: Cumberland County, Tennessee Section 8 Voucher

The Crossville Housing Authority (CHA) Cumberland County Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is currently open. Applications are being accepted since at least July, 2019, until further notice.

There are two ways to apply during the opening period:

  1. Open and print the application online. Select the button on the right side of the page that states, "Click Here To Download Application."
  2. Visit the CHA to pick up an application, located at 67 Irwin Ave, Crossville, TN 38555.
  3. Request a application via mail by calling (931) 484-2990.

Once the application has been completed, call the CHA to schedule an interview at (931) 484-2990.

This waiting list has the following preferences:

  • A person who is living in sub-standard housing.
  • A person who is involuntarily displaced. This includes: 
    • People who are homeless due to fire, flood, government action or action by
      housing owner, other than non-payment of rent. A person renting from or living
      with a relative is not eligible for a preference.
    • People who have lived in a shelter (for 30 consecutive days for Public Housing)
    • An applicant who is displaced by inaccessibility of unit due to a mobility or
      impairment that makes the person unable to use critical elements of the unit.

Open: 2 and 3-Bedroom Public Housing

The Crossville Housing Authority (CHA) 2 and 3-Bedroom Public Housing waiting list is currently open. Applications are being accepted since at least July, 2019 until further notice.

The CHA offers three Public Housing communities with 328 units.

To apply during the opening period, complete an application at the CHA office, located at 67 Irwin Ave., Crossville, TN 38555; Mondays from 8:00 am until 4:00 pm CDT, and Tuesdays-Fridays from 8:00 am until 4:00 pm.

Preferences have not yet been confirmed.

It is not known how applicants will be placed on the waiting list.
