The Kennebec Housing and Redevelopment Commission (KHRC) is currently accepting Public Housing waiting list applications for families and senior/disabled individuals.The KHRC offers one Public housing community with seventeen units for families and senior/disabled individuals.There are two ways to apply:

  1. Visit the KHRC to pick up a pre-application, located at 202 S. Main St., Kennebec, SD 57544, from 8:00 am until 4:00 pm CDT, on Monday and Thursday.
  2. Request to have a pre-application mailed to you by calling (605) 869-2338, from 8:00 am until 4:00 pm, on Monday and Thursday.
Once the pre-application has been completed, it can be mailed or hand delivered to the address listed above. No documents are needed at this time.The KHRC does not have a preference. Qualified applicants will be placed on the waiting list by date and time the application is received.For more information, call the KHRC office at (605) 869-2338, from 8:00 am until 4:00 pm, on Monday and Thursday.

Reasonable Accommodation

Applicants who need help completing the application due to disability can make a reasonable accommodation request to the housing authority via (605)869-2338.
