The Westmoreland County Housing Authority (WCHA) is currently accepting Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications. This waiting list is open indefinitely.

To apply, complete the online application.

The WCHA does have a preference point system that may improve your spot on the waiting list: homeless, participants in transitional housing program, displaced by a natural disaster, enrolled or recent graduate of a job or educational training program, victim of domestic violence, or veteran. If you are claiming a preference, you must submit documentation with your application.

The Westmoreland Housing Authority (WHA) is currently accepting public housing waiting list applications for families and senior/disabled individuals.The WHA offers 18 apartment communities dedicated to elderly/disabled individuals, nine family apartment communities, and eight family townhome communities located throughout Westmoreland.To apply for public housing, you must go to the housing community you would like to apply to and pick up an application there.
