Open: Tarsus Manor Senior Housing Senior

The Berks County Housing Authority (BCHA) Tarsus Manor Senior Housing waiting list is currently open. Applications are being accepted since at least August, 2019 until further notice.

According to the BCHA, "Tarsus Manor Senior Housing is a 33-unit development of one-bedroom apartments for senior citizens (ages 62 and over), located at 701 East Locust Street, Fleetwood, PA."

To apply during the opening period, print the application online. Scroll down to the table that says "Tarsus Pre Application" and select the "Download" button.

Once the paper application has been completed, it must be mailed to Berks County Housing Authority, 1803 Butter Lane, Reading, Pennsylvania, 19606.

Preferences have not yet been confirmed.

Selected applicants will be placed on the waiting list by date and time the application is received.

Closed: Berks County, Pennsylvania Section 8 Voucher

The Berks County Housing Authority (BCHA) will accept Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from June 20, 2023, until June 23, 2023. There is no notice when this waiting list will reopen.

To apply during the opening period, applicants were required to complete the online application.

The maximum income limits for each household size were as followed:

  • 1 Person $33,400 | 5 Persons $51,500
  • 2 Persons $38,150 | 6 Persons $55,300
  • 3 Persons $42,900 | 7 Person $59,100
  • 4 Persons $47,650 | 8 Persons $62,900

This waiting list had the following preferences:

  • Veterans and their surviving spouses will receive three preference points.
  • Applicants who live, work, or have been hired to work in Berks County, Pennsylvania will receive two preference points.
  • Applicants who are unsubsidized will receive one preference point.

It was not known how applicants were placed on the waiting list, by order of preferences.
