The Housing Authority of Malheur and Harney Counties (HAMHC) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is currently open. This waiting list opened in 2014 and is open indefinitely.

To apply, visit the HAMHC office, located at 959 Fortner Street, Ontario, Oregon 97914, from 9:00 am until 12:00 pm; and from 1:00 pm until 5:00 pm, Monday-Thursday. The office is closed on Fridays.

This waiting list has the following preference: Local victims of domestic violence.

Open: Housing Authority of Malheur and Harney Counties Public Housing

The Housing Authority of Malheur & Harney Counties (HAMHC) is currently accepting Public Housing waiting list applications for families and senior/disabled households.

There are two ways to apply:

1. Visit the HAMHC office, located at 959 Fortner Street, Ontario, Oregon 97914, from 9:00 am until 12:00 pm; and from 1:00 pm until 5:00 pm, Monday-Thursday. The office is closed on Fridays.
2. Request an application be mailed to you by calling (541) 889-9661. 

Once the application has been completed it can be mailed or hand delivered to the address above.

The following documentation is required with the application: Birth certificates, social security cards, and photo IDs for all adult household members. 

This waiting list has the following preferences: victim of domestic violence, and living and/or working in Malheur or Harney County.
