Open: Wecoma Place Apartments Section 8 Project-Based Voucher

The Housing Authority of Lincoln County (HALC) is accepting Section 8 Project Based Voucher waiting list applications for Wecoma Place Apartments from the earliest confirmed open date of June 1, 2024, until further notice.

Income Qualification

The maximum income limits for each household size are as follows:

• 1 Person $28,350 | 2 Persons $32,400

Preferences

This waiting list has the following preferences:

• Live or work in Lincoln County, OR.
• Displaced as a result of the Echo Mountain Complex Fire in 2020.

Selection Process

Selected applicants will be placed on the waiting list by date and time the application is received, by order of preferences.

Application Method

To apply while the waitlist is open, print the paper application.

Once the paper application is completed, it must be either:

1. Hand delivered to the HALC office, located at 1039 NW Nye St, Newport, OR 97365.
2. Mailed to The HALC office, PO Box 1470, 1039 NW Nye St, Newport, OR 97365.

After one year of occupancy, a Project-Based Voucher tenant may request to be placed on a waiting list to receive the next available Housing Choice Voucher or similar tenant-based rental assistance.

The Lincoln County Housing Authority is currently accepting public housing waiting list applications for families and senior/disabled individuals.This housing authority offers 119 units ranging in size from 1 to 4 bedrooms, located throughout Lincoln County.There are three ways to apply for public housing:1. Follow this link to download the application, then print and complete.2. Request an application be mailed to you by calling 541-265-5326, during normal office hours.3. Visit the housing authority to pick up an application, located at 1039 NW Nye St., Newport, OR 97365, during normal office hours.Once the application has been completed it can be mailed or hand delivered to 1039 NW Nye St., Newport, OR 97365.
