The Housing Authority of the Town of Mount Airy (HATMA) is currently accepting Public Housing waiting list applications for families and senior/disabled individuals. The HATMA offers two Public Housing communities with 300 units for families and senior/disabled individuals.To apply, visit the HATMA to pick up an application, located at 302 Virginia St, Mt Airy, NC 27030, between the hours of 8:00 am until 12:00 pm, and 1:00 pm until 4:30 pm.Once the application has been completed, you must call the HATMA at (336) 786-8321 to make an appointment for an interview.Be sure to have these documents with you at the time of your interview: birth certificates, social security cards, photo IDs for all adult household members, and proof of income.No preferences were noted.For more information, the HATMA can be reached by calling (336) 786-8321 during normal office hours.
