The Housing Authority of the City of Asheville (HACA) is currently accepting Project-Based Voucher waiting list applications for families and senior/disabled individuals.


Please note: The HACA has transferred all public housing properties into Project-Based Vouchers. 


The HACA offers eleven communities with 1,517 units for families and senior/disabled individuals.


To apply, download the application here, then print and complete.


Once the application has been completed, it must be hand delivered to 165 South French Broad Avenue, Monday through Thursday, between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm.


Be sure to include these documents with the application: birth certificates, social security cards, proof of income, bank statements, and photo IDs for all adult household members.

Reasonable Accommodation
