The Rensselaer Housing Authority is currently accepting public housing waiting list applications for families and senior/disabled individuals.This housing authority offers two apartment communities for families, and senior disabled individuals and both are located in Rensselaer.To apply for public housing you must first call the housing authority at (518) 436-0230, to request an information packet be mailed to you. Once you have completed the information packet, and have gotten everything that needs to notarized completed, you then can stop in the office located at 85 Aiken Ave, Rensselaer, NY 12144, during normal office hours.  Be sure to bring all of the original documents that the information packet says to bring with you.This housing authority has a preference point system that may improve your spot on the waiting list: living and/or working in Rensselaer.For more information, the housing authority can be reached by calling 518-436-0230, during normal office hours.
