The Monticello Housing Authority is currently accepting public housing waiting list applications for families and senior/disabled individuals.This housing authority offers: One senior/disabled apartment community with 20 units, and one family apartment community with 98 units, both are located in Monticello.There are two ways to apply for public housing:1. Request an application be mailed to you, by calling 845-794-6855, during normal office hours.2. Stop in the housing authority office to pick up an application, located at 76 Evergreen Dr., Monticello, NY 12701, during normal office hours.Once the application has been completed, it can be mailed or hand delivered to address listed above. Be sure to include copies of these documents with your application: birth certificates, social security cards, proof of all income, and photo IDs for all adult household members.This housing authority does have a preference for local residents, all other applicants will be placed by date and time application has been received.For more information, the housing authority can be reached by calling 845-794-6855, during normal office hours.
