Open: Santa Fe, New Mexico Section 8 Voucher
The Santa Fe Civic Housing Authority (SFCHA) is accepting Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications twice a month on Wednesdays from January 10, 2024 at 10:00 am, until December 4, 2024 at 4:00 pm MT.
To apply while the waiting list is open, in person applications are accepted at the Los Alamos County Social Services offices located at 1183 Diamond Drive, Suite E, Los Alamos, NM, 87544 during the following times:
- 10:00 am until Noon Walk-ins: Drop by anytime between 10:00 am and 12:00 pm twice monthly on Wednesday for immediate assistance. Walk-in appointments will be handled on a first-come, first-served basis and may require a extended wait.
- 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm. Appointments: Schedule an appointment twice monthly on Wednesday to ensure personalized attention. Call or email Christine Archuleta at (505) 753-5364 or email christinea@sfcha.com.
Please note: The SFCHA public notice states "For those unable to attend the Los Alamos meetings, additional options are available by contacting the SFCHA Espanola Office located at:136 Calle Del Pajarito, Espanola, NM 87532, office phone (505) 753-3897".
Preferences have not yet been confirmed.
It is not known how applicants will be placed on the waiting list.

The Santa Fe Civic Housing Authority (SFCHA) is currently accepting Public Housing waiting list pre-applications for seniors aged 62 and older.Please note: The Public Housing waiting list for families and disabled households is currently closed.The SFCHA offers six Public Housing communities with 563 units for families, senior, and disabled households.To apply, visit the SFCHA to pick up a pre-application, located at 664 Alta Vista St., Santa Fe, NM 87504, from 8:30 am until 4:30 pm MT, Monday-Friday.Once the pre-application has been completed, it must be hand delivered to the address listed above, from 8:30 am until 4:30 pm, Monday-Friday.Be sure to include these documents with the pre-application: Photo IDs for all adult household members.The SFCHA does have a preference for applicants that live and/or work in Santa Fe.For more information, the SFCHA can be reached by calling (505) 988-2859 from 8:30 am until 4:30 pm, Monday-Friday.
