The Hackensack Housing Authority (HHA) is currently accepting public housing waiting list applications for senior/disabled individuals.Please Note: The family public housing waiting list is currently closed.The HHA offers two family public housing communities and four communities dedicated to senior/disabled individuals.To apply for public housing, please follow this link for the online application.Once the application has been submitted, you will receive a confirmation number. Please write that number down for future reference.The HHA does have a preference point system that may improve your spot on the waiting list: live or work in Hackensack, employed, veteran, or a displaced caregiver.More information can be found by visiting the HHA website at http://hackensackhousing.org/, or by calling 201-342-4280 during normal office hours.
