Open: Alliance Housing Authority Section 8 Voucher


The Alliance Housing Authority (AHA) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is currently open until further notice.

There are two ways to apply:

  1. Visit the AHA to pick up an application, located at 300 S Potash Ave., # 27, Alliance, NE 69301, during normal office hours.
  2. Request to have an application mailed to you by calling (308) 762-5130 during normal office hours.


Once the application has been completed, it can be mailed or hand delivered to the address listed above.

Be sure to include these documents with the application: Social Security Cards and birth certificates for all household members, and government issued IDs for all adult household members.

Preferences have not been identified at this time.

As of April 2016, the AHA has an approximate wait of 5 to 9 months for a Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher.

Important note: Applicants who have been placed on the waiting list must inform the housing authority immediately if your application information changes (such as contact information, income, and household members). In the case that the office sends a notice that does not get returned, or if application information is out of date, your name may be terminated from the waiting list. Contact the housing authority to find out how to update application information.

The Alliance Housing Authority (AHA) is currently accepting Public Housing waiting list applications for families and senior/disabled households.The AHA offers one Public Housing community with 59 units for families and senior/disabled households, ranging in size from 2 to 4 bedrooms. Households must qualify for a 2 or more bedroom unit. The AHA does not offer one bedroom units.There are two ways to apply:
