Open: Whispering Pines Apartments, 1-Bedroom Senior / Disabled Public Housing

The Washington County Community Development Agency (WCCDA) is accepting Elderly/Senior Public Housing waiting list applications for 1-Bedroom apartments at Whispering Pines from January 22, 2024 at 9:00 am, until April 26, 2024 at 4:30 pm CT. 

To apply while the waitlist is open, complete the online application.

The maximum income limits for each household size are as follows:

  • 1 Person $43,500 | 2 Persons $49,700

This waiting list has the following preferences:

  • Seniors age 62+ or a person with a verifiable disability.
  • Seniors age 55-61

It is not known how applicants will be placed on the waiting list, by order of preferences.

Closed: Washington County Housing and Redevelopment Authority Section 8 Voucher

The Washington County Housing and Redevelopment Authority (WCHRA) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is currently closed. It is not known when the waiting list was last open, or when it will reopen.

The Washington County Community Development Agency (WCCDA) is not accepting Public Housing waiting list applications at this time. The 1-4 Bedroom waiting lists were last open for three days in September 2017. There is no notice of when this waiting list will reopen.

To apply during the opening period, applicants were required to complete the online application.

This waiting list had the following preferences: Live or work in Washington County; displaced by federal, state, or local government action.

Applicants were placed on the waiting list by random lottery, by order of preferences.
