The St. Louis Park Housing Authority (SLPHA) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is currently closed. Applications were last accepted from August 11, 2020, until August 13, 2020. There is no notice of when this waiting list will reopen.

The maximum income limits for each household size were as follows:

1 Person - $36,200 | 5 People - $55,850
2 People - $41,400 | 6 People - $60,000
3 People - $46,550 | 7 People - $64,150
4 People - $51,700 | 8 People - $68,250

This waiting list had the following preferences:

  • Family of two persons
  • Age 50+ or disabled
  • Local Preference: Live, work, hired to work, or attend K-12 school in St. Louis Park, MN
  • Veteran, widow or widower of veteran

500 applicants were placed on the waiting list by random lottery, weighed by order of preferences. According to the SLPHA, "If over 500 applications are received, the housing authority will reserve 50% of waiting list placements for applicants who live, work or attend school (K-12) full-time in St. Louis Park. The remaining waiting list placements will be chosen using a random sort of all remaining applicants."

Applications were originally scheduled to open April 7, 2020 until April 9, 2020, but the opening was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
