Closed: Hennepin and Ramsey County, Minnesota Mainstream Voucher

Mental Health Resources (MHR) last accepted Mainstream Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from May 21, 2024, until May 23, 2024. There is no notice when this waiting list will reopen.

Please note: Mental Health Resources covers the Counties of Hennepin and Ramsey, MN for persons living with mental illness, chemical dependency and other disabilities. 

According to MHR, "In order to qualify for assistance, the family's head of household or spouse must qualify as disabled and must earn at or less than $45, 500 (single) - $62,100 (family of four)."

The maximum income limits for each household size were as followed:

  • 1 Person $43,500 | 5 Persons $67,100
  • 2 Persons $49,700 | 6 Persons $72,050
  • 3 Persons $55,900 | 7 Person $77,050
  • 4 Persons $62,100 | 8 Persons $82,000

This waiting list had the following preferences: Living or working in Ramsey, Hennepin or Dakota County.

1,000 applicants were placed on the waiting list by random lottery, by order of preferences.

To apply while the waitlist was open, applicants were required to complete the online application.
