The Ontonagon Housing Commission (OHC) is currently accepting Public Housing waiting list pre-applications for senior/disabled individuals.Please note: The OHC does not offer a Public Housing program for families.The OHC offers one Public Housing community with 60 units for senior/disabled individuals.There are two ways to apply:

  1. Visit the OHC to pick up a pre-application, located at 100 Cane Ct., Ontonagon, MI 49953, during normal office hours.
  2. Request that a pre- application be mailed to you by calling the OHC at (906) 884-2258 during normal office hours.
Once the application has been completed, it can be mailed or hand delivered to the address listed above.Be sure to include these documents with your application: Birth certificates, Social Security Cards, proof of all income, and photo IDs for all adult household members.The OHC does not have a preference. Qualified applicants will be placed on the waiting list by the date and time the application is received.For more information, call the OHC office at (906) 884-2258 during normal office hours.

Reasonable Accommodation

Applicants who need help completing the application due to disability can make a reasonable accommodation request to the housing authority via (906)884-2258.
