Open: Mount Pleasant Housing Commission Section 8 Voucher

The Mount Pleasant Housing Commission (MPHC) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is currently open until further notice.

Mt. Pleasant, MI is about 80 miles northeast of Grand Rapids, MI.

There are two ways to apply:

  1. Download the pre-application online, then print and complete.
  2. Pick up the pre-application at the MPHC, located at 1 W Mosher St., Mt. Pleasant, MI 48858.

Once the pre-application has been completed, it must be submitted to the MPHC office during normal office hours.

The following documentation is required of all members of the household: Social Security Numbers, driver's liscence or State-issued photo ID, proof of custodianship of minors (if applicable), income, and assets.

After a pre-application has been submitted, it will be reviewed by the MPHC within 30 days of the pre-application submission.

Applicants will receive a confirmation number upon submitting the pre-application. It is important to keep that number in a safe, easy to access place. It will be needed any time when referencing your pre-application with the housing authority.

Applicants will be notified of denial or acceptance onto the waiting list by mail after it is reviewed. Denied applicants can request a hearing within 14 days of the date of denial.

The MPHC stresses that applicants must keep the office informed of any changes of information, such as income and contact information. Furthermore, the pre-application says that information must be updated once a year. If the MPHC attempts to contact you and does not hear a response, it has the right to terminate your application.

The Mount Pleasant Housing Commission (MPHC) is currently accepting Public Housing waiting list pre applications for families and senior/disabled individuals.The MPHC offers one Public Housing community with 26 units for families and senior/disabled individuals.There are two ways to apply:1. Download the online pre-application here, then print and complete.2. Pick up the pre-application at the MPHC, located at 1 W Mosher St., Mt.
