Open: Family Public Housing

The Battle Creek Housing Commission (BCHC) Family Public Housing waiting list is currently open, since at least March, 2019, until further notice.

There are two ways to apply:

  1. Download and print the application online. Select the "Application Form" link.     
  2. Pick up an application at the BCHC office located at 250 Champion Street, Battle Creek, Michigan 49037, Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm ET.

Once the paper application is completed, it must be either:

  1. Mailed to the BCHC office address above.
  2. Dropped off at the BCHC office located at the above address during office hours.

There are two ways to apply:

Closed: Battle Creek, Michigan Section 8 Voucher

The Battle Creek Housing Commission (BKHC) last accepted Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications for Battle Creek from April 1, 2024, until April 5, 2024. There is no notice when this waiting list will reopen.

To apply while the waitlist was open, applicants were required to complete the online application.

Preferences have not been confirmed.

500 selected applicants were placed on the waiting list by random lottery, by order of preferences.
