The Howard County Housing Commission (HCHC) last accepted Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from July 31, 2023, until August 31, 2023. There is no notice when this waiting list will reopen.

There were two ways to apply during the opening period:

1. Complete the online application.
2. Complete an application in person at the HCHC office.

This waiting list had the following preferences: Families who live or work in Howard County.

3,500 selected applicants were placed on this waiting list by random lottery, by order of preferences.
