Open: Housing Authority of the City of Annapolis Public Housing

Please Note: Due to the decentralized nature of affordable housing information, the information about this waiting list may be out of date.

The Housing Authority of the City of Annapolis (HACA) is accepting Public Housing waiting list applications from August 15, 2023, until further notice.

There are two ways to apply while the waitlist is open:

  1. Print the paper application.
  2. Pick up an application at the HACA office, located at 1217 Madison Street, Annapolis, MD, 21403.

Once the paper application is completed, it was to be either:

  1. Dropped off at the HACA office, address mentioned above.
  2. Mailed to the HACA office, address mentioned above.
  3. Faxed to (410) 267-8290.

This waiting list has the following preferences: 

  • Terminated from the Housing Choice Voucher program due to insufficient program funding.
  • Victim of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, or stalking.
  • Public Housing resident who has been displaced as a result of repairs that exceed 30 days.
  • Disabled
  • Household head, spouse, cohead, or sole member working at least 20 hours per week.

Selected applicants will be placed on the waiting list by date and time the application is received, by order of preferences.

Closed: Anne Arundel County, Maryland Section 8 Voucher

The Housing Authority of the City of Annapolis (HACA) last accepted Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from August 15, 2023, until February 1, 2024. There is no notice when this waiting list will reopen.

There were two ways to apply while the waitlist was open:

  1. Print the paper application.
  2. Pick up an application at the HACA office.

Closed: Housing Authority of the City of Annapolis Public Housing

The Housing Authority of the City of Annapolis (HACA) Public Housing waiting list is currently closed. It was last open for two weeks from August until September, 2018; and before that in June, 2017. There is no notice of when this waiting list will reopen.

There were four ways to apply during the opening period:

  1. Download and print the application online.
  2. Complete the application at any of the HACA Public Housing management offices.
  3. Complete the application at the HACA office.
  4. Pick up an application at the HACA office.

Once the application has been completed, it must have been:

  1. Mailed to the HACA office or any of the public housing management offices. Mailed applications must be postmarked by September 6, 2018, or it will not be accepted.
  2. Dropped off at the HACA office, or at any of the HACA Public Housing management offices.

This waiting list had the following preferences:  Persons Who Live or Work Locally, Veterans, Homeless, Working/Employed, Victims of Domestic Violence, and Those Displaced by Government Action.

Selected applicants were placed on the waiting list by date and time the application is received, by order of preferences.
