The Housing Authority of Jefferson Parish (HAJP) last accepted Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications on a limited basis since at least April 2021, until the earliest confirmed close date of August 14, 2023. There is no notice when this waiting list will reopen. 

Please note: According to the HAJP, This waiting list was for families "residing within the public housing development on Acre Road"

To apply while the waitlist was open, applicants were required to complete the application in person at the public housing development on Acre Rd.

This waiting list had the following preferences:

• Preference is for any family receiving public housing assistance from the Housing Authority of Jefferson Parish (HAJP) and residing within the public housing development on Acre Road.

It was not known how applicants will be placed on the waiting list.
