The Housing Authority of Prestonburg (HAP) is currently accepting Public Housing waiting list pre-applications for families and senior/disabled households.The HAP offers one Public Housing community with 160 units for families and senior/disabled households, ranging in size from studios to 4 bedrooms.To apply, visit the HAP office to pick up a pre-application, located at 12 Blaine Hall St, Prestonsburg, KY 41653, from 8:30 am until 4:30 pm, Monday-Friday.Once the pre-application has been completed, it must be hand delivered to the address listed above, from 8:30 am until 4:30 pm, Monday-Friday.Be sure to include these documents with the pre-application: Social Security Cards and birth certificates for all household members, photo IDs for all adult household members, proof of all income, marriage/divorce papers if applicable.The HAP does have a preference for: Applicants that live/work in Prestonburg, veteran, or displaced by a natural disaster.For more information, call the HAP office at (606) 886-2717, from 8:30 am until 4:30 pm, Monday-Friday.
