The Fort Wayne Housing Authority (FWHA) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is currently open.

The FWHA is accepting applications for this waiting list from June 29, 2022 at 8:00 am ET, until further notice.

To apply during the opening period, complete the online application.

This waiting list has the following preferences:

  1. Graduate of FWHA approved Transitional Housing Programs (2 Points) 
  2. Resident who lives and/or works in the jurisdiction. (1 Point)
  3. Working Families and those unable to work because of age or disability. (1 Point)
  4. The PHA will offer a preference to families that include victims of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, or stalking who have either been referred by a partnering service agency or consortia or is seeking an emergency transfer under VAWA from the PHA’s public housing program or other covered housing program operated by the PHA.
    • The PHA will work with the following partnering service agencies:
      • YWCA 211-United Way Center for Non—Violence Any other local agency assisting victims of domestic violence

Selected applicants will be placed on the waiting list by random lottery, weighed by order of preferences.
