Open: Logan County, Illinois Section 8 Voucher

The Logan County Housing Authority (LCHA) is accepting Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from May 30, 2024 at 1:00 pm CT, until further notice. This is the first time the waiting list has been open since it closed in July, 2015.

Income Qualification

The maximum income limits for each household size are as follows:

  • 1 Person $30,100 | 5 Persons $46,450
  • 2 Persons $34,400 | 6 Persons $49,900
  • 3 Persons $38,700 | 7 Person $53,350
  • 4 Persons $43,000 | 8 Persons $56,800

Preferences

This waiting list has the following preferences: living or working in Logan County.

Selection Process

Selected applicants will be placed on the waiting list by date and time the application is received, by order of preferences.

Application Method

There are two ways to apply while the waitlist is open:

  1. Pick up a pre-application at the LCHA office, located at 1028 N. College St. Lincoln, IL.
  2. Print the paper application.

Once the paper application has been completed, it was to be: Returned to the LCHA office, address mentioned above.

Open: Logan County Housing Authority Public Housing

The Logan County Housing Authority public housing program is now accepting application for families and senior/disabled individuals.


The Housing Authority offers two complexes in Logan County. The senior/disabled apartment complex has 100 units and the family complex has 112 units.



To fill out an application you can pick one up at the Housing Authority office located at 1028 N College St., Lincoln, IL 62656, or have one mailed to you by calling 217-732-7776.


The Housing Authority lists the following preference that may improve your spot on the list as living or working in Logan County.
