Open: Kauai County, Hawaii Section 8 Voucher

The Kauai County Housing Agency (KCHA) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is currently open. Applications are being accepted from July 25, 2020 at 12:00 am HT, until further notice.

To apply during the opening period, complete the online application.

The application is online only, and no paper applications will be available or accepted. Only one application per household will be accepted. If an applicant does not have access to the Internet, they can use a computer at a local library.

This waiting list has the following preferences:

  • Terminated from KCHA's Section 8 program due to lack of funding
  • Current participant of KCHA's TBRA program
  • Certified homeless
  • Live on the island of Kauai
  • Family member has been hired to work in Kauai County

It is not known how selected applicants will be placed on the waiting list.
