The Panama City Housing Authority (PCHA) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is currently closed. It was last open for 10 days in August 2018; and before that for about two weeks in October 2015, and in November 2014. There is no notice of when this waiting list will reopen.

The Panama City Housing Authority (PCHA) last accepted Public Housing waiting list applications for 3-Bedroom apartments from August 9, 2023, until 200 applications were received. It is not known when this waiting list will reopen.

To apply while the waitlist was open, applicants were required to complete the online application.

This waiting list had the following preferences: 

  • Elderly or disabled family
  • Residency preference for those applicants residing in Bay County, Florida at the time of application.
  • Residency preference to residents of the Public Housing Program administered by the PHA; who are displaced through no fault of their own due to modernization, rehabilitation, demolition/disposition, repositioning, relocation, or loss of funding.
    • Residents must be in good standing with the PHA and not currently housed by a program administered by Panama City Housing Authority.

  • Elderly or disabled family
  • Residency preference for those applicants residing in Bay County, Florida at the time of application.
