The Housing Authority of the City of Miami Beach (HACMB) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is closed

The HACMB last accepted applications for this waiting list from July 25, 2022, until July 28, 2022. There is no notice of when this waiting list will reopen.

To apply during the opening period, applicants were required to complete the online application. No telephone calls, walk-ins, or mail-ins of pre-applications were accepted.

The maximum income limit for each household size were listed on the public notice.

This waiting list had the following preferences:

  • Local preference for Selection of Eligible Families: 62 years or older, disabled, living or working in the city of Miami Beach, U.S. Veteran, or surviving spouse of a U.S. Veteran.

3,000 applicants were placed on the waiting list by random lottery, weighed by order of preferences.

Closed: Rebecca Towers North Senior Public Housing

The Housing Authority of the City of Miami Beach (HACMB) is not accepting Public Housing waiting list for seniors (62+) at this time. The Rebecca Towers North waiting list was last open for three days in April 2018. There is no notice of when this waiting list will reopen.

Closed: Rebecca Towers South Senior Public Housing

The Housing Authority of the City of Miami Beach (HACMB) last accepted Senior Public Housing waiting list applications for Rebecca Towers South from April 9, 2024, until April 10, 2024. There is no notice when this waiting list will reopen. 

Please note: Applicants must be at least 62 years old to apply, and be a 1 or 2-person household.

To apply while the waitlist was open, applicants were required to complete the online application.

The maximum income limits for each household size were as followed:

  • 1 Person $57,800 | 3 Persons $74,300
  • 2 Persons $66,050 | 4 Persons $82,550

This waiting list had the following preferences:

  • Living or working in the City of Miami Beach
  • U.S. Veteran, or surviving spouse of a U.S. Veteran

600 selected applicants were placed on the waiting list by random lottery, by order of preferences.

100 selected applicants were placed on the 0-Bedroom waiting list by random lottery, by order of preferences.

25 selected applicants were placed on the 0-Bedroom ADA waiting list by random lottery, by order of preferences.

50 selected applicants were placed on the 1-Bedroom waiting list by random lottery, by order of preferences.

25 selected applicants were placed on the 1-Bedroom ADA waiting list by random lottery, by order of preferences.

10 selected applicants were placed on the 2-Bedroom waiting list by random lottery, by order of preferences.
